Summer has brought us something to celebrate — Therapix is now being used by the HSE (Health Service Executive) for an early parent intervention program! 🎉

This initiative is designed to help parents not just understand their child’s therapy goals but also learn how to implement them at home — transforming everyday moments into meaningful learning opportunities.

Research shows that children learn best when guided by a safe, responsive caregiver and when strategies are embedded naturally into their environment. Therapix makes this possible by helping parents and schools stay on track with Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy recommendations, bridging the gap between clinical sessions and real-life routines.

The Science Behind It

Studies from institutions like the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University emphasize that responsive, back-and-forth interactions — often called “serve and return” — are key to healthy brain development and emotional growth.

Similarly, research into Natural Environment Teaching (NET) shows that children retain skills more effectively when they’re practiced in familiar contexts. Whether it’s a daily routine or a playtime activity, learning that feels natural sticks longer.
